Our Product Description

Soy milk, arnibal (a sweetener made out of melted sugar), and sago pearls (similar to tapioca pearls), make up the standard ingredients for our "Taho" product. We intend to make different flavors for our product in addition to the standard flavors that we frequently encounter on the streets or in other locations, making it more distinctive than other "taho" vendors or sellers in the market. These additional flavors include strawberry, chocolate, and mango. Our product will be offered through a variety that we refer to as “chilled” to satisfy the demand of our customers during the summer season. For the packaging of our product, Soy Tahoy will use recyclable, eco-friendly and non-toxic paper-made packaging.

To provide and serve a well-loved Filipino delicacy to the wider market and innovate ways that continues to preserve its relevance and popularity among the consumers. Adapt and Progress in the current global and local situation by developing various Soy-made products particularly Taho with respect to the current state of the environment, economy, and society.

Our Vision

Soy Tahoy envisioned a world where the company and their Filipino-made products are distributed to global markets and the pride of Filipino dishes and delicacies are known to the rest of the world. The company also envisioned the adoption of the Filipino-First Policy that encouraged Filipino businesses regardless of their industry to collectively thrive for the betterment of the Philippine Economy and its people. It envisioned the creation of a sustainable and environmentally friendly industry that can compete in the global market, thus encouraging other businesses to adapt and follow.

What is a Taho?

Taho Description

As stated by Liren Baker, Taho is a classic sweet snack in the Philippines made with silken tofu, sago or tapioca pearls, and a simple brown sugar syrup. Served warm, it’s popular as a comforting breakfast or for merienda (snack) any time of the day! Taho is a beloved snack in the Philippines, almost like a drinkable custard made with warm silken tofu, sago pearls, and arnibal, a simple brown sugar syrup. Sago pearls are similar to tapioca pearls, and like the boba you find in bubble tea. To the indoctrinated, it sounds like a crazy combination of ingredients, but believe me when I tell you, it is as delicious as I imagined, when I first spied taho from my grandmother’s bedroom window. Served warm, it’s sweet and comforting, the silken tofu much like a custard, with the satisfying chew from sago or tapioca pearls. When I first made homemade taho, I would use warm maple syrup as a quick substitute from the arnibal, and between you and me, that’s a fine way to go about it, too. - Kitchen Confidante, 2018
